Neural signatures of semantic representation and control in healthy aging

Check out our newest publication in Neuropsychologia. The paper focuses on semantic cognition in healthy aging and investigates the interplay between conceptual representation and control as people grow older. We show that distinct neural regions sustain semantic performance in young and elderly individuals as a result of a life-long accumulation of knowledge and a decline of semantic control functions. For more information see: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.neuropsychologia.2023.108545
